At Skylark Fostering, we believe fostering is about more than just providing a safe home – it’s about becoming part of the fabric of the community. That’s why you’ll often find us right here in Laceby, boots on the ground and ready to chat.
So far, we’ve loved meeting local residents at two fantastic events in the Butt Lane Playing Fields area, and we’re already looking forward to returning for the monthly farmers markets and other upcoming gatherings.
Of course, sometimes the British weather has other plans! On 4th August 2025, Storm Floris swept through with enough wind to make even the most determined stallholder cling to their gazebo. We were there, dodging flying leaflets and laughing with everyone who braved the gusts – and yes, we caught it all on video, so you can relive the moment without the soggy shoes.
This hasn’t put is off though! - we’re back on the 1st of September!
Laceby has a warmth and togetherness that shines through at every event – neighbours catching up over fresh produce, children playing freely, and a shared pride in this beautiful village. By being present and accessible, we’re not only sharing what fostering is all about, but also listening to the stories, needs, and hopes of the people who make Laceby special.
